UTEP students to compete in Miss USA 2010

Known for its beautiful architecture, The University of Texas at El Paso is becoming famous for its beautiful students as well.

After winning their respective state pageants, two UTEP students have earned their way to the top beauty contest in the nation - Miss USA 2010.

Rosanne Aguilar (pictured on the right), 23, was crowned Miss New Mexico 2010 in Ruidoso, on Nov. 7, winning the right to compete alongside student-athlete Kelsey Elizabeth Moore (pictured on the left), 19, who was crowned Miss Texas 2010 in September.

UTEP Hosts Forums on Proposed Tuition Increases

The University of Texas at El Paso is seeking student and community input on proposed tuition and fee increases.

UTEP will hold a series of forums for students, faculty and staff; the first will be at noon Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the College of Health Sciences Building, Roderick Auditorium, 1101 N. Campbell, followed by a session at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Union Cinema, Union Building East, first floor. The final forum will be open to the general public at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the Undergraduate Learning Center, Room 106.

UTEP Hosts Border Health Forum

While health reform has been in the spotlight for several months, The University of Texas at El Paso is focused on health disparities that exist along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The University will host a border health forum titled “Health Here and Now.” The forum will focus on health disparities, infectious diseases, chronic diseases and access to health care along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Whether you’re designing a flyer, updating a Web site or publicizing an event, the UTEP Graphic Identity Guide is a valuable resource in helping you craft messages that are effective, professional and consistent with UTEP’s reputation for academic and research excellence.

Although this publication is not intended to answer every question, it does address those issues most frequently raised on our campus, from use of the UTEP logo to working with Web and electronic media and following writing and printing guidelines.

The Guide also contains a list of on-campus departments that will provide the technical expertise and support required to help you create a superb finished product.
